2011 is saying bye bye,


It was so busy and rushing year,

I got more white hairs,

I got more stressed...


Well, Hope earth is going well in 2012...

Maison Kayser!!!

This is the well known bakery which there is no outlet in my hometown, opened in Singapore.


Maison Kayser.
Relatively links to Japan's kimura ya bakery, owner is inventor of Red bean bun aka Anpan.


My image for Maison Kayser is that they offers rustic and dense breads,
Very chewy and also high end pricey breads.





From their website, they modified their bread to suit Singapore's customer.
Understand, as the bread I bought is so soft. very soft batard.


I wish they could bring their original taste and chewyness here.


I think shop staffs needed to be more trained.
They have too much talking while serving / not serving customers.

Carousel.

I was keep saying want to go to Carousel for high-tea for more than 2 months.
Finally went there since my last visit 4 yeas ago.





Their dishes obviously more local food than last time.
Still tasty anyway =)





After having high-tea there,
My satisfaction is well covered for carousel.


I think next time just get some cakes from take away corner is enough....
their cakes are so amputating!!!

Christmas 2011.

Pick recipe from Yahoo! Japan and cooked Christmas eve dinner.



Pork Prime rib honey and marmalade source.

Also baked Gateau Chocolat for dessert.
Erm...I baked it 5 years ago for christmas eve dinner too....that was much tastier than this time round one...Cake never became shrink down and got charred smell...=((

Paradise Dynasty offers 8 flavours of Xiao Long Bao.
(Normal one + 7 flavours)







Very unique sounds but maybe still original taste is best.


Anyway their noodles and dumplings are nice too!!

Choc Pavlova

Feel like having dessert, just step in to the cafe in Scotts Square.





Had berrilicious chocolate pavlova or something like that name one.
Very hard meringue unlike cedele's.


I think I must try in the country where pavlova is created.
