Last year I missed this event. this year, feel I have returned to Singaproe!

To celebrate my mum's retirement,
We brought her to the one of the famous ryokan in Hiroshima.

They offers day use room with lunch package.
I have picked it up after hearing from my mum that maybe she wants to go there and see its garden someday.






Nice view and relaxing feeling.

Of course, their seasonal lunch also tasty! =D

OBON

Annual Obon (Jap Hungry festival)...




This is a very important event that I have to let Shiu-chan know.
To visit my ancestors and families.

And to enjoy gathering with long lost my relatives =)

My favourite bagel shop.



It's all hand kneed...!!!





They'll close only after less than a hour they open...everyday like this...
Very very worth queuing up to get their bagels....

My friend brought me to the local Sake brewer.

It is small yet they brew nice sake...=)








Their sake is mostly mild...


All are by glass artist and only 1 piece available in the world..

Maybe we shall visit them during winter so that we can see see how they prepare and brew.

Sushi Delivery

We decided to try Sushi Delivery from 'Gin no Sara'.

In my life, till recent,
I only go to Sushi bar, delivery was also only from Sushi Bar.



Good grade sushi.

I had no chance to come here yet.


Their Tart is always look tasty...
Berry cafe is run by Comme Ca.



What you may think, it's totally diff from Singapore's Fruits Paradise!!!


Just nice tart, cream and fruits are so nicely matching!! =D

Taste not outlet

My mum wanted to go to this place but didn't know the exact location.

I knew that, it was really nearby her house.
Just opposite Calbee factory.


Here sales factory outlet cakes,
means those cakes lacks outlook quality. Maybe some are out-shaped, got charred, something...


These cakes are lack of outlook quality. can u identify that?

The outlet shop sales those cakes in lower price,
yet also serves lunch.

Not but least, it's facing sea, nice view!! =)

all-you-can-eat

My mum brought us to the newly opened blueberry farm that about 30mins drive away.

the farm, is just inside the rice field,
50 mins free picking and eating for 500yen!!!

about 500 blueberry trees,
it was so tasty, berries were like a jewelry =)





On the way back, we found a Yamame (river fish) farm,
my mum again, suggested us to go and let shiu-chan try.

It must be first time for him to do river fish fishing! =P


We had scrumptious lunch there,
Simply grilled and deep fried Yamame with onigiri...





She decided to come back again in next summer!

Natsu MOS!!!

After sending friend off from Air port, we went for MOS for lunch before taking 2 hours of Shinkansen back to Hiroshima.


MOS's taberu Ra-yu burger and
summer's limited, Naan.



Shiu-chan, loves this Taberu Ra-yu burger...

Singapore's MOS never offer this kind.
Must enjoy Japan's summer MOS!!!



Reached to house and my mum welcomed us with Grilled Ayu...
haha, food feast never stop like that...

So fast, friend going back to Singapore tomorrow...

What Japanese House is.

I wanted to bring a friend to this place.
Showroom.



Because he is working at Interior shop, and I believe he likes designing and furnishing.


Panasonic's showroom is nearby, explain what current Japanese house most standard is. after a few years living in Singapore, I really feel that Japanese house design is very well considered and designed for daily lives. easy maintain, easy clean...and not to mention, high-tech.
