Bad luck.

I visited to shrine for Bad luck year prayer.
This prayer, I should supposed to do in the beginning of the year.

I am in the year of very bad luck.
This bad luck started from last year, this year is very very bad luck year for ladies.
next year will be post bad-luck year and that is still bad luck.


This year, it was quite somethings happened around me including my own matter.
I am not a superstitious but still, do this makes my feeling much better.

I received 2 amulets. Hope this will help to keep bad luck away for this year and next year.

Hot Spring.

I haven't been to Onsen for quite some time, and I missed soaking feeling so much.
My mum brought us to the good onsen spot.

The place is called 'Yu No Yama (湯ノ山)', well know for onsen healing.
Found by Koubou Daishi (弘法大師) in 1700's.

Behind the existing onsen facility, there is still a few hundred years ago's onsen facility.


This onsen is cold onsen and drinkable.
It was too good soaking till I soak too much.

I am still a Japanese, miss hot bath and soaking bath =P

It's been a year since disaster hit my country.
It has been making plenty of people's life tough.


The day,


We will not forget what happened.
How much tears dropped.
How many support we received.
From the day, and now on.

Dreamliner

This time round, we took ANA first time to fly back to Japan due to our super tight schedule.
It was supposed just rushing flight but in the end, it turned out to very very wonderful flight ever.
We took flight from Singapore to Haneda, then transit to domestic to Hiroshima.

Haneda to Hiroshima, we were lucky that we took B787 Dreamliner!!



In front is 2nd fleet we took. behind is normal colouring.


Officially start flying sky not so long yet,
and only a few flights are launched in domestic flights, surprisingly, Haneda - Hiroshima is one of first launching destination.


We were so excited when we saw it at Haneda airport, even excited during the short flight back to Hiroshima.


We took 2nd B787 fleet, only this 2nd and 1st has special colouring on its body.
Not only that, these are designed for international and only flying domestic sky limited period.

Specially designed RR engine sounds were different sounds as other engines, flight was all the way excellently smooth.



I love its unique wings, really nice.


I felt like really comfortable flying.






We totally loved at first sight and loved again in 2nd sight after taking B787 flight.



I don't mind flying back to Japan just to take B787...haha.
I really feel great that this world-collaboration fleet.


After taking ANA flights, I found it is pretty pleasant flight taking ANA.
I might take ANA more often than SIA.

Taiwan ver UNIQLO!!

I didn't know this shop exists in my home town!!!








I was so so so surprised!!

SAKURA!!

Luckily I got chance to take Sakura this time round.






Its body colour is blueish, and have gold line sandwiches blue line.
This is obvious difference from Nozomi 700 series.


Also interiors are different, more Japanese feeling.


Hope to get to ride on Sakura again soon =)

Hatsumoude

We visited to Itsukushima shrine for Hatsumoude (new year prayer).


Returned last year's Hamaya (kind of arrow shaped charm) and received this year's one.
Shiu-chan and my mum picked first oracle of the year, they got exactly same one. What a coincident!!



Tie to return oracle back to the nature god.

Itsukushima shrine is well known as one of UNESCO world heritage and its symbol, huge red gate is often used to symbolize Japan (like Paris : Eiffel tower, US : Statue of liberty etc).

While stroll down back to Ferry terminal after the prayer, my mum bought interesting steamed bun and had it with shiu-chan.



Hiroshma-na (very local leafy vegetable) steamed bun.

Once we arrived back from Miyajima island, we met our friend P-chan and had nice chit chat. We then had lunch together with what this area famous for, Anago-meshi.
Surprisingly, P-chan has not tried Anago-meshi yet, and happy knowing that she likes it =D

Kyushu line.

Now Kyushu Shinkansen is fully opened!






I am look forward to take the ride someday~~~ =P



By the way, this is very olden days style of Shinkansen toilet,
When I saw it, reminds me of my childhood memory...




I am sorry if you are having food...


I was so scare of this stainless, metallic toilet and especially, the hole....SO I always try not to use toilet when I take shinkansen....haha...

This trip, is purpose to visit one of my most respect person.
Yes, she is, my grandma.


She is no longer recognize me, my mum, every children and grand children of us,
But once I see her, feel so relieved that she is still ok.







To be frank, I am abit homesick too...
hehe, miss my mum also.

It is last day (except Disaster affected area) to receive Analog TV broadcasting in Japan.


Thank you and bye bye analog, hello Digital.



Japan launched Digital TV broadcasting since 2006, till today, these period were for residents to change analog TV into digital TV, whichever replace with Digital TV or install Digital tuner.


Sky tree in Tokyo will takes main task to broadcast digital signals while Tokyo tower ends to broadcasting analog signals in a few years time.



Japan is always keep on going, advancing, whatever economy situation.

Haneda Airport Mascot.

It was very short trip to Tokyo,
Just spend 3 days in total there...

Tokyo is absolutely hell for food lovers, too many nice food in such small place...



Too bad, our stomach, calories and especially money is limited...
Wish we can come here again in another a few years time to discover more tasty foods next time...

My friend brought me to the local Sake brewer.

It is small yet they brew nice sake...=)








Their sake is mostly mild...


All are by glass artist and only 1 piece available in the world..

Maybe we shall visit them during winter so that we can see see how they prepare and brew.

good news.

Nowadays you can buy Japanese Brown rice at ISETAN supermarket.
There is the machine for taking out brans too.


It comes a time to have take off 70% bran rice in Singapore...


It reminds me of going to self-used bran taking off machine in my hometown...I prefer to have 70% bran off rice than white rice. more chewy and tasty. More nutritious too.
(anyway nowadays I mostly eat breads only...=P)

It's been about 3 years since I saw Mt.Fuji from Shinkansen.






now it's winter and of course,
Mt.Fuji got snow crown on its summit.



I think the beautiful point of Mt.Fuji is
this snow crown and mountain's long skirt.



When am I able to see it again???
