She bought salt seasoned scallops,
it is also my favorite kind...

which is whole scallop,
together with roe and scallop skirt.

I should pan fry or something as it became
hard...

sweets hunting.

I wanted to have some cakes.

really wanted to have something nice cakes...

I cannot tahan already!!!!

went to nearest shopping mall,
(i have no car, not able to go to small shops)

bought two slices of tart and green tea mousse.

peach tart (top) and seasonal fruits tart (bottom)

Tarts from "MARIO DESSERT",
in Hiroshima, they are famous for Italian cuisine.

Peach tart is sliced fresh peach with raspberry and custard cream,
tart base is crispy pastry tart.

Fresh tart is come with seasonal fresh fruits,
now is Fig, Mango, Muscat, Grape, Pineapple and Kiwi (green & gold).
With custard cream and standard tart base.

Their cake display is always very temptating.
they display in whole cakes, and once u order, they'll slice for u.
Cakes are all used fresh fruits, really look tasty.
I am not tart fan but always feel like buying =P

When shiu-chan visited their shops, he noticed that
most of shop ladies there are short short and cute cute...
I agree with that =)

Green tea mousse is quite bitter.

Green tea mousse from "PASTRAL",
this brand is seems under local bakery "ALOFT".

they offer cute size and desgined cakes.
Green tea mousse, they indicated that they use "gyokuro",
which is high quality green tea.
Green tea mousse tasted quite smooth and light.
there were some red beans inside too.

It was very satisfied with having cakes and
made me feel so happy...=)

I know I must work harder to burn my fat after that!!!
nyahaha =P =P

She gifted me a cute clay horse as my BD present.

Mum asked me to follow her for drink matcha.

When we go for weekend shopping,
she sometimes like to drink that.

I always only drink matcha.
She always only drinks matcha set,
which come with Japanese sweets and pepit rice crackers.

bitter matcha and sweets are good matching. after that,
simple taste rice cracker refresh your mouth.

ya hor! =O quite long long time I never been there with her.

We happy drinking matcha but noticed that their tea cup,
specially used for matcha one was become look cheap cheap.
It was definitely not nice for drinking matcha kind.

We felt a little bit sad.
However, tea taste and sweets taste were still ok.

Next time, I should bring shiu-chan there for tea =)

I am not a Donut fan, but I wanted to buy some donuts
from my favourite shop, mister donut.

They always offer limited period donuts,
now they offer maccha donuts.

I prefer cake donuts but this time round,
bought yeast donuts.

french cruller is really light yeast donut i think.

their donuts size is just nice and
doesn't look oily.

Taste light too.

cakes & cakes

I think I miss Japanese dessert alot.

I thought buying some light and tasty dessert.

I went to department stores for hunting.

=X

....too many cute cute cakes and pastries.

=(

dunno which one to buy.

Season it comes a summer,
shops are offering summer desserts.

Jerry with Mango,
Almond Jelly,
Green tea agar-agar mousse,
Peach mousse,
and and and....

='(

all look tasty.

all almost these are same price.

I haven't even get one.

My mum suddenly said she feel like having cake,
so, went to neighborfood cake shop.
(Something like Prima Deli kind)

I bought Zunda mont blanc,
She bought rare cheese cake.

Yappari, mass production.
tasted so so only.

not our favorite kind of taste.
somemore both got spange cake in it.
I prefer moussy cake then!!!

Regret!! I should go to department store and
spend same money to buy better ones ASAP!!
(local popular patissiers' shop one)

By the way, Zunda mont blanc was not bad.
still there was Zunda paste taste.
(Zunda is young green soya bean paste)

and I feel, for the packaging, Singapore shops
can learn something from Japanese way.

always they put ice pack in it regardless of season and
put little separater to secure the cakes.

surprised by apricot...!!!

Mother bought apricot and Shijimi clam.

She said it's first time to see fresh one.
I think same to me...

looks nectarine...nice smell...but...it's only looks and smell...

We tried that, we thought it should be
sweet like peach, but it was quite dry and
not sweet at all...

tasted a little bit like biwa, but totally not juicy.
I think apricot is eat dry one better.

And then, she cooked shijimi miso soup.
she likes to cook and drink it with white miso.

Shijimi clam is living in fresh or half salt water.
very small and shell is black in colour (abt 2 - 3cm)

taste is very mild, much different form Asari clam or Hamaguri clam.

everytime I had that, remember of my child food.

I was always go to small small river and take small Shijimi clam...
that was only 1cm or 2cm or more smaller...=P

so all these
looks cool and refresh.

above fresh sweets, represents summer.

i took one, river with fish.

should be made with agar-agar,
bean paste and beans.

cute right?? 4 or 5 cm square size.

Chicken Rice and Fried Rice.

Chicken Rice in Singapore is
Steamed or Roasted chicken with
Rice (use chicken stock to cook rice).

When I had chicken rice first time,
I was surprised to see it.

Wonder why?

For Japanese, Chicken rice is
stir fried ketchup rice with chicken.

When shiu-chan first time saw it,
he surprised to see it.

but I think, fried rice is Japan and Singapore is same.
what I see is same.

should be?

mix rice with egg before stir fry, home easy cooking for fried rice.

Afternoon Tea @ Les Saveurs

Since St.Regis opened,
I always wanted to visit there for afternoon tea.

Finally I went there with my friend.
I love to explore afternoon tea with her.

I like this flower designed decor(?)

Their afternoon tea was mostly sweets.
I think even I asked shiu-chan, I don't think he will go.

Sandwiches tasted interesting.

Afternoon tea served with 2 tier, of scones and sandwiches,
choice of hot savory (satay, curry puff, dim sum or quiche)
and dessert buffet.

Yes, you may find not much salty thing...compare to other hotel's.

Dark Chocolate mousse. smooth and rich choc =)

Macarons and cute berry tart.

Salty stuff tasted quite nice, desserts tasted not too sweet too.
I liked cute tarts.

Although Afternoon tea is till 5pm, We chit chat till almost 6pm.
Had a great time. I recommend her for lunch,
her hubby said "eat 26 oysters should be worth for price already"

Lunch @ Senso

[Senso] is quite famous Italian restaurant.
I remember the restaurant introduced in Official Guide of Singapore.
I wanted to try but no chance till now.

I happened to receive this restaurant voucher.

So,

It's a great chance to try out!

I thought very classy restaurant but quite cozy and relaxing decor.

There is lunch set offered S$32++ per pax.
but we order what we want to try.

I ordered Risotto, it was my first time to have risotto.
I thought risotto is just like porridge, but it was not.

tasty risotto, I liked it a lot =) oishikatta~~!!

So chewy rice and nice fragrance of creamy sauce.
Prawn was nicely done and crunchy!

Shiu-chan ordered flat pasta with wild boar,

Pasta was al dente and well match with sauce too.
moist and tasty.

For the dessert, we ordered Tiramisu.

I think they use sponge cake, not finger biscuit.

Not too sweet, but not much cheese cream.

refreshing taste, nice with coffee.

We share starter and dessert,

they serve those separately, but quantity is just nice.

I think for Italian restaurant, I have to ask for half portion.
I could not finish main...again...
What a waste!!!

Felt so sorry for chef and ingredients...=(

Cake Hunting @ Mezza9 shop

Sweets I bought for my stay at St.Regis.
From Mezza9 shop.

Chocolate Crispy -
Dark Chocolate mousse, base is crispy.
Nice but not that bitter as I thought.

Green tea Opera -
Actually I am not fan of spongy cakes.
Prefer mousse cakes but looked nice then, I tried.
Still no green tea cakes wins Japanese one.
Both green tea sponge and red bean filling too sweet for me.

!!CAUTION!!------------------------------------
Maccha is very demanding about Green tea sweets.

Macarons -
tasted like carousel's. quite my liking kind too.

Getaway @ St.Regis

Styaing Hotel, It is my little wish to spend all the time only with my hubby.
My most precious time, till now.

I have no house, no family in Singapore.

There is no "totally relaxing place" for me yet.

This time round, I happened to find "limited time offer"

at St.Regis Singapore.
surprised to have chance to stay this hotel, honestly speaking.

I liked Sofa & Bed a lot.

Corners got BOSE speaker. this speaker has own controller too.

We got some hints to our future house renovation images =P

We slept till pig. haha =P

St.Regis is known as their "Butler" service as 6 Star Luxury hotel.

Our Butler was quite nice guy (I thought maybe a lady, like Raffles Hotel)

You can use Singapore First touch VoIP phone to ask butler to serve tea or coffee anytime.

so, of course there is no coffee/tea, water boiling facility in the room.

A kind of "lack of privacy" also.

*VoIP Phone is so common in Japan for e years but Singapore is not common yet.

Anyway, We really enjoyed the stay.

if there is another promotion when I come back to Singapore next time,
I don't mind to stay again.

Morning, have a cup of "TWG" tea.
