This stall's Lor mee is more stuff than mee. hahaha =P

Durian 2013.

Here comes a season for Durians!

We of course, bought Golden Phoenix.
It's really nice, taste and texture.

Shiu-chan bought Mao Sang Wan, but the taste still unable to beat Golden Phoenix....

Singapore Sling - Pan Pac Ver.

Had Singapore Sling at Pan Pacific Club Lounge.

So far this is my most favourite Singapore Sling =)

AMK curry puff.

Shiu-chan said their curry puff is tasty.

Because they deep fry puff longer and slowly, it makes ingredients more melty and tasty.

Really?
I prefer crispy outer and chunky ingredients...=)

Burratina.

Had dinner gathering at my friend's house.
I bought Burratina from ION market place, thought of sharing Burratina with them.

But, Burratina was not that what I was expecting...
It was like cuttage cheese...
Not like Burrata----!!! ='(

Quiznos.

Quiznos was having offer and finally we could tried their Sandwich.

They bake bread and meat first, then top with vegetables.
So the bread and meat is warm.

Although bit expensive than Subway, Maybe I prefer their style.
It was nice trial! =)

New Year breakfast.

New Year breakfast is usually go to Red Star.
But this year, me & Shiu-chan obligated, turned to Tai Tong.

Tim Sum there is actually not bad, and Dad-in-law shared with me when he and his parents were still living in Chinatown.

Old and rich memories. Something Singapore is getting to lose...

Dry goods.

CNY is around the corner.

You can easily find dry goods stores selling chinese sausage, canned abalones and blur blur blur...

I realized that there is not much shops selling Mochi this year.
How come?

Rice Roll.

It's usual Sunday marketing day.

I was resting at home after discharge, I decided to follow Shiu-chan's parents to go out.

Had Chee Cheong Fun for breakfast.

Still surgical wound, muscle and nerves are pains every time I walked for a while but it is still better to try to walk more, for rehabilitation.

I walked extra slowly, nope, I couldn't walk in normal speed...
enjoyed outside air and marketing =)

Fish Essence.

I am now still in recovery process from surgery, and I was recommended to have more fish from several peoples.
And also this.

fish essence.

This essence is traditional one is from Sneak head, the fish that I was told to eat more for better wound recovery.

I tried the taste, it is like Name-take (Japanese condiment, sweet simmered Enoki mushroom).
Not bad. I now become very traditional chinese like that...Taking bird's nest, Lin Zhi and this. hahaha.

Hope I can recover without any problem.

Assam Laksa.

Laksa is what we commonly see in Singapore Laksa.
But there is another Laksa originated(Perhaps) from Penang.


The thing is so much different from Singapore's what they say Laksa.
There is no coconut milk and no prawns or claims. but flaked fish.

Take its spicy assam soup with mint leave make you feel spicy yet refreshing.


I heard the Penang one is smells like a vomit.....Really????

Bird's nest.

I look so not fine nowadays and often said that
'Take some bird's nest!'.

Is it works?
Nevermind, maybe I should try it first.

Then I bought 2 types, which is one shot drink and finish and another one is concentrated and can be kept in fridge for about 4-5 days after opening.

I remember there was once Shiu-chan bought Concentrated Bird's nest for me.
That time I thought can't keep for days and finished about 150g bottle in one shot.
Shiu-chan was so shocked to know it as it was about $100 per bottle...=P

Duck Rice Special.

Shiu-chan's special meal.
It is Duck Rice but Duck is Duck Leg.

Why is it special, it is simply because price will be increased by $2 from normal Duck rice.
It is pretty high!!

But it was nice seeing Shiu-chan after having the meal, he looked very satisfied with the meal =)

SAMURAI.

Shiu-chan said Samurai burger is back!
I thought what is that?


Since it was his school time favourite burger, let's try out then.

Oh, It is exactly Teriyaki Mc burger in Japan.

 
Ya hor, I don't see Teriyaki Mc burger in Singapore's McDonalds so far.
Is it because it maybe invented in Japan's McDonalds???

Somehow, remember when I was in secondary school, I liked to eat Teriyaki Mc burger often. =)

Tim Sum pastry.

Found this new pastry shop while Jalan Jalan Joo Chiat area.

Shop uncle said they are actually supplying to shops more and they just opened the shop there recently only.

Their egg tart and Chicken pie were not bad =)
(They said they are trying to acquire Halal cert, therefore no pork.)

Laksa!!!

It's been a long long time since my last visit to Katong area!!
and also having laksa!!!

Today I had 628 Laksa, They have air-conditioned area too.
Their laksa has nice chili=)

big prawn noodle.

Shiu-chan wanted to try famous Big Prawn noodle in Adam road horker centre.

He ordered $5 one and enjoyed it.
but his comment was "No need to spend so much to enjoy much tastier one".

umm....he is too picky or wat!!

Maybe he was expecting too much.

Thunder tea.

Long time did not have any Thunder Tea!!

I like its unique flavour and harb tea =)

Tim Sum jalan jalan - final.

Shiu-chan searched another tim sum shop in Geylang.
This should be the last one to visit.

Although they are guys, our stomach are almost full in capacity.

Surprisingly, this shop's tim sum was the best so far,
size, texture and taste.

Pretty friendly to pocket too =)

I wish to come back again in next time!!
I liked their Xia Kao =D

Tims Sum Jalan Jalan.

We went to another tim sum shop in Geylang,

This shop is actually have a few branches and take away shop island wide, and actually I wanted to try their dumplings for a quite sometime.


Their dumplings are pretty my liking, only thing a bit regret is all things are too big portion.

Xia Kao is not my type...too big and too thick skin...
