Scones again.

Baked scone again...
it's so easy to bake and it's pretty fun!! =)

*Plain English scones*

*Cake flour - 100g

*Unsaleted butter - 50g

*Salt - 1/4 tsp

*Sugar - 1/2 tbsp

*Baking Powder - 1tsp

*Milk - 40ml

1. Blend cubed chilled butter with flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.

(Use pie blender or folk, knife to prevent butter to be melted)

2. Once done, add milk and blend well.

3. Make into one dough, rest in fridge for 30mins.

4. Rolled to 2cm thickness and cut(or use scone mold) into 6-7 pcs, brush milk on top.

5. Bake with pre-heated 180 decC oven for 13-15mins.

Drop Stop.

Shiu-chan was looking for Drop Stop,
It is one of wine tool, just fold and insert into wine bottle opening and then, wine will not drip.

Simple yet very impressive invention.



Simple but no one think about this till one found it.

After checking a few drop stop, found Riedel Japan's drop stop.
2 pcs for 1000yen is a littlebit expensive but 100% will goes to charity for earthquake and tsunami victims.
not 10% or part of the cost, 100%.

Shiu-chan immediately decided to purchase from Riedel Japan.


This is something very meaningful than just purchasing normal drop stop =)

Tim Sum jalan jalan - final.

Shiu-chan searched another tim sum shop in Geylang.
This should be the last one to visit.

Although they are guys, our stomach are almost full in capacity.

Surprisingly, this shop's tim sum was the best so far,
size, texture and taste.

Pretty friendly to pocket too =)

I wish to come back again in next time!!
I liked their Xia Kao =D

Tims Sum Jalan Jalan.

We went to another tim sum shop in Geylang,

This shop is actually have a few branches and take away shop island wide, and actually I wanted to try their dumplings for a quite sometime.


Their dumplings are pretty my liking, only thing a bit regret is all things are too big portion.

Xia Kao is not my type...too big and too thick skin...

Gelyang TimSum Tour - 1.

When Shiu-chan had gathering with his bankmate,
somehow they decided to go to Geylang for Tim Sum.


Begin with K-kun recommendation.




Front Ha Gao is normal while behind one is King size.

I straight forward just order Ha Gau.

For my understanding about Tim Sum is only available in morning or brunch time and this shop is open for 24hrs.
It was pretty surprising for me.


Their Ha Gau skin was too soft till break.
But the taste was homey kind of nostalgic taste =)

Shiu-chan's friends came over to our house for gathering.


Their his bankmate and after NS, it is not easy to have time together.
He was really happy about this gathering and start thinking what to serve for them for more than a week.
I was happy seeing him happy.



And today, they came from totally opposite side of Singapore from our house.

Our sincerely thanks for them for coming to our house and sharing their time.


I like to see them together, Torio-de-163.
I wish their friendship will last longer =)

SpeedPost.

I have requested my mum to send parcel over to Singapore via EMS and I was surprised by SpeedPost's tracking.






It was with delivery courier even before reached to sorting centre and delivery courier failed to deliver after midnight....


Maybe I am too used to wonderful & convenient courier service in Japan...but hope at least check and manage tracking system and devices properly since they are so-call speedpost and using such system...
